Resumption of weather activities over north & central India as Anti-CC Fades

A slight relief from heatwave’s grip is anticipated in parts of north, central and western India between 12 & 14th April as the anti cyclonic circulation which was dominating western India and adjoining areas and not allowing any clouds or significant weather event to occur has finally weakened. With this, significant weather activities to be resumed over Indo gangetic plains, central India and other adjoining areas.

•The Anti Cyclonic Circulation has started weakening. it will lose most of its strength by next week. More toward the 14-16th April. Another WD is expected to affect parts of north India by 18th April

•A Weak WD is set to affect parts of north India from afternoon of 12th April but its peak effects to be seen between 13-14th April. Also a weak induced CC to form over Punjab and parts of North Rajasthan

What to expect from this weak Western disturbance?

Hills

•Under Influence of these two system. Light to Moderate rain/Thundershower is expected over Northern Himalayas,  Parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. 25-40% of the areas to be covered.

Intensity is expected to Light to Moderate and Rainfall & Storm pattern is estimated to be short spell type. Lasting only for 5 to 15 minutes

Spread will be very less so storms cells are going to be patchy in nature and no widespread acts are expected

Some places can expect hailstorm too

Also temperature drop of atleast 3-5°C is expected in Maximum temp, 2-5°C drop in minms

Foothills and Plains

•Isolated Light to Moderate rains or thundershowers with dust-storm is expected in Foothills and Terai region of Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttarpradesh. 5-25% of the areas are expected to be covered

Chances of Duststorm and hailstorm  are 50-50. If duststorm occurs then winds gust could reach 30-55km/h speed

Storm cells are going to be patchy, so the spread is expected to be limited.

Slight chances of thunder clouds development is over North Rajasthan, Central Punjab, Haryana and parts of Delhi & West Uttarpradesh between afternoon of 13th - 14th April. 1-20% areas are to be covered but these place can observe some dusty winds incase of duststorm but no rainfall.

These places are expected to observe upper-mid level cloudy cover from morning of 12th april.

Also drop of atleast 2-3°C is anticipated in day temperature and drop of atleast 1-3°C is expected in night temp. Winds will be little humid as they’ll be blowing from SouthEast-East instead of South, West. But not too moist. Overall weather will remain warm but little pleasant due to clouding

With this we are expecting a relief in Himalayas and foothills and from varunavat forest fires in uttarkashi.
