Another quick round of rainfall in North India


Weather in north India was quite pleasant with fog in the morning and warm comfort days. Max temp was near 20-22°C in Delhi, Haryana, West UttarPradesh, Punjab and above 24-25°C in Rajasthan.

WEATHER SYSTEMS & PARAMETERS

Now a moderate intensity WD is expected to affect these places from later this evening. Also this is an fast moving system, it means cloud cover, chances of rainfall and weather effects will stay for less amount if time. Less than 24 hrs at many places. A CC will form above North Rajasthan and attract moisture from Arabian Sea, This time Rajasthan will get rainfall & thundershower too unlike the last time

WEATHER EFFECTS IN PLAINS

🔺️Rajasthan: light rain with isolated Moderate spells along with wind gusts upto 25-35km/h  is expected at atleast 50-70% of areas but good chances for mod rains are in Churu, Bikaner, Narnaul, Suratgarh, Hanumangarh, Rajgarh and adj areas

Thunder Clouds and rainfall activities will start from later this evening  (8th Feb) and they will slowly progress into more areas by early morning of 9th feb

Peak intensity between evening of 8th feb - Afternoon of 9th Feb

Weather will he cleared by evening of 9th Feb

🔺️Haryana: light rain with isolated moderate rains along with wind gusts upto 25-35km/h and thunder and lightning at one or two places are expected between night of 8th Feb into afternoon of 9th Feb. Places in south Haryana are mostly likely to see moderate spell.

Peak intensity: from night of 8th Feb into late afternoon of 9th Feb

Weather will be cleared by Night of 9th Feb

🔺️Punjab: Light rain is expected in atleast 50% areas with moderate rain at one or two places.

Peak intensity: from evening-night hours of 8th Feb into early hours of 9th Feb

🔺️Delhi: light to moderate rain along with wind gusts upto 20-35km/h are expected in 80% areas with thudner and lightning at one or two places 
Same goes for adjoining areas like Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, Panipat, Sonipat and Baghpat 

Some stray showers are expected from late afternoon 8th Feb as there is enough instability and moisture supply. Formations are most likely to take place by 3-4pm

🔺️ West UttarPradesh: Light to Mod rains with wind gusts upto 20-35km/h along with thunder and lightning at atleast 50-80% of areas with isolated hailstorm at one or two places. Good chances for mod rains in Kasganj, Bareilly and adj areas and areas close to foothills... light rains for Lucknow and adj areas

WEATHER EFFECTS IN HILLS

🔺️Light snowfall with scattered Moderate snowfall and rain in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Leh, and parts of Uttarakhand between 8th - 9th feb

Temperature and fog update for plains: 

Both min and max temp will rise a little between 8-9th Feb and drop of 2-4°C is expected after this spell. Places in Delhi, Haryana, UttarPradesh, Punjab might observe ColdDay due to upper Fog Cover but high chances of Cold Day near Foothills
